If you knew...

Brennan Manning, a great evangelist/priest, used to ask this: if you knew a man who had the answers to the most important questions governing your entire life, who held the keys to your personal happiness both now and forever, who decided where you’d spend eternity, and who loved you more than anyone else ever could—enough to die for you—do you suppose you’d be inclined to spend time with him, to discover what He wanted for you, to try to get inside his head, so to speak—to develop a friendship with him? Wouldn’t you be insane not to? Well… In fact, if you really believed this, wouldn’t you be faced with another conundrum: either God is everything or He is nothing; do you care?
